Titled 'Banten', the Indonesian word for 'offering'. The making of offerings is an art mastered by Balinese women. Palm leaves are woven by hand as offerings to the gods, ancestors, and for temple festivals, and life-cycle ceremonies. This is a photograph of an old woman weaving together an offering.
