For those wishing to cite the authors published in Focus, may we recommend the following format:
Adams, K. S.

To Those Visiting This Site:
This publication is dedicated to publishing original papers by undergraduates in anthropology. Due to the fact we publish online in a rather narrow field and are a not-for-profit organization, we do not see ourselves in competition with anthropological print journals. We do, however, consider the papers and photographs in this site to be "published" and see these materials as fully protected under the rights of the authors/photographers. Any reproduction of these materials without the express consent of the authors/photographers is strictly prohibited.
To Those Whose Work Is Published Here:
Those students whose materials are published on this site are some of the best anthropology undergraduates in the country, and this is some of their best work. To wit, we allow and encourage students to submit the same (or versions of the same) materials to established print journals. It is important to realize that some of these journals do not accept previously published papers. As is noted above, we do not feel that we are in direct competition with these journals, and thus hope they would not disqualify the papers published here. However, the choice is left to the discretion of the journal editor. If, for any reason, a student wishes to rescind their submission to Focus, prior to publication, they are welcome to do so. Once the material is published on this site, a student may not rescind the submission. This same information is sent to the student with the notification of acceptance for publication.
