Submission Deadline:
The acceptance period for 2007-2008 submissions has ended. The new deadline will be decided in the fall and posted online by the end of September. Have a great summer!
Relevant Submissions:
All essays submitted for consideration by Focus Anthro should pertain to at least one of the four areas of anthropological research—cultural, biological, archaeological, or linguistic—and must have been written during the course of the author’s undergraduate studies. Preference is given to papers whose topics are the result of original field research.
Submission Requirements:
All papers should be revised for correct grammar and spelling before they are emailed to us. A complete submission will include: a title page with the name of the paper, the author’s name, and the name of their school; an abstract; a table of contents; section headings; and a bibliography. The author may use the citation method of his/her choice, as long as he/she is consistent and thorough. Submissions should be emailed to focusanthro@gmail.com as a single Microsoft Word document.
All digital photographs should be emailed as high-resolution JPEGs. Additionally, we request a brief caption that explains the photo’s anthropological significance, location, and other pertinent information. Captions may be included within the body of the email. Please submit no more than five photos. If you would like Focus to consider more than five of your photos for our publication, please contact us first.
Feel free to email focusanthro@gmail.com with any additional questions or for clarifications.
